This digital document is an article from Bank Marketing, published by Bank Marketing Assn. on April 1, 1997. The length of the article is 963 words. The page length shown above is based on a typical 300-word page. The article is delivered in HTML format and is available in your Amazon.com Digital Locker immediately after purchase. You can view it with any web browser. From the supplier: Bank marketers are bent on improving their marketing strategies as a result of an increasing consumer resistance to credit card solicitations. Stiff market competition has spurred bank marketers to assess the individual needs of the consumers, and determine what type of product would suit their particular needs. Competition has also raised the issue of declining credit card loyalty. Card marketers have to learn the necessity of adopting micromarketing strategies that will segment customers according to lifestyles, buying habits and other sociological factors.Citation DetailsTitle: Credit card issuers can no longer bank on conventional marketing.Author: Claire Peerson BravermanPublication: Bank Marketing (Magazine/Journal)Date: April 1, 1997Publisher: Bank Marketing Assn.Volume: v29 Issue: n4 Page: p10(2)Distributed by Thomson Gale

You, the consumer, should not feel guilty for either your credit card purchases, or, more importantly, your difficulty (if not inability) in meeting the monthly payments and the consequent financial straits in which you find yourself. Rather, the guilt (and probable anger, as well) is caused by the providers of those cards. In Credit Card Rape! J.A. Tricarico shares his interpretations of credit card billing practices, as well as his personal experiences in successfully battling two credit card lenders. He carefully breaks down and explains a number of common practices, from fees and charges to interest rates and special offers. Once you read Tricarico’s insights into billing mathematics and credit winners and losers, you’ll never see credit the same way again!

Does selling your credit card portfolio make sense? : An article from: Hoosier Banker
In an environment of economic downturn and financial institution streamlining, the primary reason for considering the sale of a credit card portfolio is uncertainty of the true return to the institution. Typically, the problems with the portfolio relate to the lack of resources and attention dedicated to the program. A stagnating portfolio causes an issuer to change its profile. The decision to sell a card portfolio also involves a carity of additional business factors that are commonplace at any small business. The loss of key people to job change or retirement is to be expected and, since the typical small portfolio depends on one or 2 people, this alone can be a disaster. Consider too the growth of higher and higher processing costs that cause concern for future success. This digital document is an article from Hoosier Banker, most recently published by Indiana Bankers Association on May 31, 2003. The length of the article is 725 words. The page length shown above is based on a typical 300-word page. The article is delivered in HTML format and is available in your Amazon.com Digital Locker immediately after purchase.
